Hickman Thu, 25 Apr 2013 03:48:33 +0000 http://remotegeneral.com/?p=32#comment-947 I’ve used Logitech remotes for a LONG time.I’ve used a number of remotes as old ones wore out and the latest came along with cool features.Their packages are great (even for the not necessarily technically gifted).The library of supported controlled devices is huge.My recent purchase was to replace a RF capable remote that finally wore out.I was surprised to find that any current Logitech RF capable remotes would not work with their old RF repeaters!!So I bit the bullet and bought the new RF system.The hardware (as always) is very nice.If you like software that feels like those endless velvet rope mazes at amusement parks – forcing you to do things in the order they want with no go-back other than start over (and starting over is no piece of cake) their software is for you. I called tech support and the tech helped my by copying my config to the new account I had to set up for a new remote. Why wouldn’t a ‘copy config to a new remote’ be included in their products?I recommend Logitech products to my family, friends and colleagues including warnings about frustrating but usable software.
